Today the type is Reggae (uhu)
So i met Mano Chao, because i have a friend and the ring tunes of har mobile was the song -Bongo Bong- of Mano Chao and i asked for her.- Who play this song? The sound is nice (i cant say is the lyrics is good, this depends of the person, because usually the lyrics of Mano Chao talk about immigration, love, living in ghettos and drugs and often carry a left-wing message; so some lyrics is good and other your mum cant listen kkkk)
-About Mano Chao
Manu Chao (born José-Manuel Thomas Arthur Chao on June 21, 1961), is a French singer of Spanish roots (Basque and Galician). He sings in French, Spanish, English, Italian, Galician, Arabic and Portuguese and occasionally in other languages. Chao began his musical career in Paris, busking and playing with groups such as Hot Pants and Los Carayos, which combined a variety of languages and musical styles. With friends and his brother Antoine Chao, he founded the band Mano Negra in 1987, achieving considerable success, particularly in Europe. He became a solo artist after its breakup in 1995, and since then tours regularly with his live band, Radio Bemba.
In 1987, the Chao brothers and their cousin Santiago Casariego founded the multiracial band Mano Negra. Starting on a smaller label, the group released a reworked version of the Hot Pants single "Mala Vida", which quickly became a hit in France. The group soon moved to Virgin Records, and their first album Patchanka was released the following year. Though the group never gained much fame in the English-speaking market, popularity throughout the rest of the world soon followed, reaching the Top #5 in the Netherlands, Italy and Germany. The band achieved some fame in South America with 1992's Cargo Tour, where it played a series of shows in port cities, performing from a stage built into their tour ship's hold.[5] Mano Negra also performed a tour through much of Colombia in a retired train, the "Ice Express".Still, rifts began to grow among band members during the port tour and the following year's train tour; many band members, including Manu's brother Antoine, had left the group by the end of 1994. Following that year's release of their final album, Casa Babylon, Manu Chao moved the band to Madrid, but legal problems with former band mates led Chao to disband the group in 1995.
Mano Negra's sound is mostly characterized by energetic, lively rhythms, symbolized by the title of their first album, Patchanka, derived from the word pachanga (which is a colloquial term for "party"), and a distinct informality which allows the audience to get involved and feel close to their sound. Mixed music genres are present throughout their albums. Manu Chao is friends with Gogol Bordello and that group has covered Mano Negra's song "Mala Vida" on their own and with Chao beginning in 2006.
I really like the mix of languages in him musics and this is a mark of Mano Chao's songs.
-Bongo Bong
The contemporary hit single in France "Bongo Bong", takes its lyrics from the earlier Mano Negra hit "King of the Bongo", which bears a similar style to that of The Clash. The musical backdrop for "Bongo Bong", in turn, was used in several other Chao songs, including "Je Ne T'Aime Plus" from the same album and "Mr. Bobby" and "Homens" from Próxima Estación: Esperanza.
Yann Tiersen
Yann Tiersen (born 23 June 1970) is a musician from France. His musical career is split between studio albums, collaborations and film soundtracks with a distinctive sound that is always involved. It can be recognized by its use of a large variety of instruments; primarily the guitar, synthesizer or violin together with instruments like the melodica, xylophone, toy piano, harpsichord, accordion and typewriter. Tiersen is often mistaken as a composer of soundtracks, himself saying "I'm not a composer and I really don't have a classical background," but his real focus is on touring and studio albums which just happen to often be suitable for film; his most famous soundtrack for the film Amélie was primarily made up of tracks taken from his first studio albums.

Beirut Band
So Beirut will be the first band of the blog, because is my favourite band, i met this band on the end of 2008 , i listened this band on the soup opera Capitu and i really like the sound, like circus music, and i really like circus. Very instrumental and Zach Condon (The vocalist) with a amazing voice, is a combination with a folk and Europe lest.
The songs of beirut have a lot influence of the Europe Lest, Gypsies, Balkan folk music.
So is my favorite band i think you will like.
Albums
Gulag Orkestar (2006)
Condon recorded the bulk of the material used for Gulag Orkestar by himself in his bedroom, going into the studio to finish the album with the assistance of Jeremy Barnes (Neutral Milk Hotel, A Hawk and a Hacksaw) and Heather Trost (A Hawk and a Hacksaw), who became early members of the band Beirut.
This album have a lot metal instruments.Remember me a gypsy songs, i really like the song Bratislava, the capital of the gypsies and they are othes songs talking about Italy and other citys of Europe.
The Flying Club Cup (2007)
The music on the album has a French influence due to Condon's interest in French chanson during its recording. Condon has cited French and Belgian singers Jacques Brel (French-speaking Belgian), Serge Gainsbourg and Yves Montand (Italian/French) as influences. He (Condon) also expressed interest in French film and culture, claiming this was his original reason for travelling to Europe.
March of the Zapotec(2008)
On April 3, 2008, Beirut canceled a previously announced summer European tour. The band had already been touring and had completed the U.S. leg of the tour, but before the European leg, Condon stated that after two months of touring, he was running on too little sleep.Zach Condon explained the cancellations in a post on the official Beirut website, stating that he wanted to put the effort into ensuring that any shows would be "as good as humanly possible".Soon after, The Stranger reported that Condon was working on a third album tentatively scheduled for a fall release. This album materialized as the double EP March of the Zapotec/Holland EP, containing an official Beirut release based on Condon's recent trip to Oaxaca (March of the Zapotec), and electronic music under the "Realpeople" name (Holland), to be released February 16, 2009. However, the album became available for purchase on iTunes on January 27, almost a month before the projected release date.
On February 6, 2009 Beirut made their debut television performance in the United States on the Late Show with David Letterman, performing "A Sunday Smile".
And this one is very nice too, the song A Sunday smile is unique, all songs of Beirut is unique.
The Rip Tide(2011)
In early June 2011, amidst touring the US, Beirut announced that their newest album, The Rip Tide, which had been recorded the previous winter in New York, was to be released on August 30.The band simultaneously released a single, "East Harlem" (which was first recorded on Live at the Music Hall of Williamsburg ), with the B-side "Goshen"; both songs that appear on the new album. The new album is recorded, managed, and released under Condon's own Pompeii Records, in order to preserve recording rights.
I think this album was the best one, the song is very nice, i cant stop listen the cd, i saw on the musics site, people didnt like because is different than the others albums, i think not, they cant change the type of the song, because is this if we listen, because is different of all, they just improved, i cant stop sing A candles Fire.
